Learning Log

          <sub>Today in Humanities class we wrote a rough draft of our descriptive paragraph (to describe a person or a place) based on the "descriptive paragraph brainstorm" we were assigned yesterday. We used the five senses (sight, sound, smell, taste, touch) to write this rough draft. We wrote this paragraph so we can develop better writing skills, in terms of descriptive language, and to learn how to write paragraphs with the default structure: topic sentence, supporting details, and concluding sentence. Connections beyond Humanities include being able to write a proper paragraph for written assignments in other classes, and using descriptive language when writing paragraphs for other classes, or just for pure enjoyment. There was no homework today.
